What is clinical counselling?
Clinical counselling is a collaborative process that can help you understand concerns, develop coping strategies, and make changes aligned with your goals.
What happens in a first session?
The first session is a chance to talk about what brings you to counselling, ask questions, and begin identifying what you would like support with.
How long are sessions?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes. A complimentary consultation is 15 minutes.
How do I know whether counselling is a fit?
You are welcome to book a complimentary consultation to meet briefly, ask questions, and see how it feels.
Is counselling confidential?
Information is kept confidential with limited legal and professional exceptions, such as risk of serious harm or a legal requirement to disclose.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. Secure virtual counselling is available across British Columbia.
What are the fees?
$165 for a 50-minute individual session and $180 for a 50-minute couples or family session. A 15-minute consultation is complimentary.
What if therapy is not working for me?
Please bring this up in session. Counselling is collaborative, and the approach or goals can be adjusted together.
How do I book?
Appointments are booked online through JaneApp.
What should I do in an emergency?
Counselling is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
